Peter Sutherland is getting assigned his final mission.
Netflix’s popular series The Night Agent is slated to end with season 4. The series has begun production in Los Angeles.
Ending with Season 4

Even though seasons 2 and 3 weren’t as highly rated as the first season, Netflix still saw solid numbers from fans tuning in, leading to the season 4 renewal.
In anticipation of a fourth season, Sony Pictures Television earned a $31.6 million California tax credit to relocate the show from New York (season 2 and 3 film location) to Los Angeles. With everything in order, The Night Agent fans can enjoy a true ending to Sutherland.
Creator, EP, and showrunner Shawn Ryan had some comments about the season 4 renewal.
“Ever since the initial success of The Night Agent, I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey. I’m so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on The Night Agent and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans.”
He added, “We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget.”
