Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is on an unknown hiatus.

Production on the newest season of the series has been paused due to a blow-up between two of the main cast members: Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen.

Cameras Shut Down

Sources connected to the series, along with TMZ says the production for season five is currently shut down after drama erupted between Taylor Frankie Paul and her baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen.

Cameras have gone dark for now. As of now, the cause of the fight is unknown, but sources claim the situation became intense enough that filming couldn’t continue as originally planned.

Taylor and Dakota

Taylor and Dakota’s relationship is a major storyline within the Hulu and Disney+ reality series. Things turned ugly towards the end of the most recent season, leaving Taylor and Dakota on rocky terms.

The most recent season aired this past week, with Taylor being the Bachelorette for the ABC franchise.

When Will Production Resume?

As of now, it’s unclear how long production will be paused and whether the cameras will be rolling soon or not. It is worth noting that the production team is taking the matter seriously and handling it with caution.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota’s reps have not commented on the situation, according to news outlets.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives follows a group of mom influencers navigating relationships and life in the spotlight. The biggest hurdle is the swinging scandal, and how it’s threatening their faith, friendships, and reputations.

Who is Taylor Frankie Paul?

Taylor Frankie Paul is a TikTok influencer and reality TV star, known for her role in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and now The Bachelorette.

During the series, there is lots of drama, and Taylor is often right in the thick of it.

For the newest season, those rivalries and drama continue to rear their ugly heads as Taylor is offered the starring role for The Bachelorette while her co-stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck joined Dancing with the Stars.

Taylor became popular back in 2020 as the self-proclaimed founder of “MomTok,” a group where other Mormon moms in Utah created content together. Along with dance trends and beauty routines, the moms share their experiences with motherhood and religion.

However, she made headlines in 2022 when Taylor Frankie Paul was embroiled in the “soft-swinging” scandal. Along with her and then-husband Tate Paul, several other MomTok members and their husbands were participating, too.

At the time, she stated, “Everyone has hooked up with like everyone.”
