HBO’s medical drama The Pitt will return to screens for its second season on January 8th, 2026. The new installment will once again follow the format of episodes spread across a single chaotic shift in Pittsburgh, this time set during the Fourth of July. We’re sure to see fireworks at least once, and a new cast member, Sepideh Moafi, who joins as attending Dr. Al-Hashimi. Other important details to keep an eye out for are Dr. Langdon returning after rehab and Dr. Collins possibly not returning for the new season.

HBO’s finance-industry series Industry is scheduled to resume on January 11th. The fourth season has been teased to be darker and have higher stakes, testing the friendship and ambitions of Harper and Yasmin as they struggle with money and influence. Two days later, Hulu’s Tell Me Lies will premiere on the streaming platform. January 13th marks the release of the third season, as Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco resume a fraught romance at Baird College.

Other Spring Premieres

After January, there are several other important dates to keep an eye out for. Starz will be providing the ending chapter to Outlander with its eighth and final season, premiering on March 6th. Prime Video takes over April and May with its announcement of The Boys‘ fifth and final season. The season will premiere on April 8th with two episodes, and after the remaining episodes will be released weekly through the finale, slated for May 20th.

Of course, there are the awards shows, event television, and returning reality shows. The Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards will fall in January, and the Winter Olympics will take over our screens alongside the Super Bowl in February. Other shows on the spring 2026 TV calendar include staples like American Idol, The Masked Singer, and The Rookie. Depending on the show and platform, these shows will either be released all at once or through weekly rollouts until the season finale.
