Shrinking Season 3
Shrinking season 3 continues Jimmy’s theme of moving forward with his life.
This time, though, he must deal with his daughter starting college, possibly finding new love, and continuing his therapy practice with patients.
What is Shrinking About?
Shrinking follows Jimmy (Segel), a grieving therapist who starts to bend the rules and gives his clients a dose of blatant honesty.
While his boss, Paul, and co-worker Gaby may not approve of his unconventional methods, Jimmy continues to enact huge changes in people’s lives, including his own.
New and Returning Cast
The main cast for season three, other than Ford, Segel, and Williams, includes Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley.
Guest stars returning to the screen include Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick, and Cobie Smulders.
The two newest additions are drawing the most excitement for season 3. Jeff Daniels will be joining in a guest star role as Jimmy’s father, while Michael J. Fox is returning in an undisclosed role.
When Does it Premiere?
Shrinking season 3 will premiere on January 28th with a special one-hour episode. After the premiere, the show will have weekly releases with 11 total episodes in the season.
The show will conclude on April 8th, with every episode streaming globally on Apple TV.
Michael Jr. Fox in Shrinking
Michael J. Fox is making his first return to on-camera acting since retiring in 2020. While his official role has not been released yet, it will surely be impactful.
During an interview with PEOPLE in December, Lawrence commented about Fox, saying, “It’s cool to get to write about things you care about now, and Michael J. Fox is my first mentor, so we wanted to represent it in hopefully an inspiring and not sad or tragic way.”
Fox is also excited about the role, saying, “I’d love to do it,” to Lawrence.
Fans are also thrilled about the actor’s reappearance on the television screen.
