Fox is bringing back a beloved show with the Baywatch reboot. Casting announcements have been pretty frequent, with the newest addition being Livvy Dunne.

The series has recruited a wide list of stars, from social media personalities to seasoned actors, and even a returner from the OG series.

Livvy Dunne Joins Cast

This is Livvy Dunne‘s professional acting debut. She has recently been taking acting lessons and plans to pursue a career in film and television.

Before acting, Livvy Dunne was a competitive gymnast for LSU. During that time, she earned a call-up to the US Junior Women’s National Team. She retired from the sport in April 2025.

Along with being a gymnast, Dunne has appeared as a model for Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issues and in The Money Game: LSU docuseries.

In the Baywatch reboot, Livvy Dunne will take on the recurring role of Grace, a zealous, full-of-life junior lifeguard.

Other Cast Members

Stephen Amell stars in the lead role of Hobie Buchannon. Along with Amell and Dunne, the cast includes Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Noah Beck, Shay Mitchell, and Brooks Nader.

The first cast member reprising their role from the original Baywatch series is David Chokachi. He’s reprising his role of Cody Madison.

What is the Baywatch Reboot About?

The Baywatch reboot will center around wild-child Hobie, who serves as a Baywatch Captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch.

However, he is taken by surprise when the daughter he never knew existed, Charlie, shows up at his doorstep. Eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a lifeguard, Charlie is sure to upheave Hobie’s world.

The official show description reads: “Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original. Now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.”

President of FOX Television Network Michael Thorn commented in a press release that, “Together, FOX and Fremantle, along with Matt Nix and original co-creator Greg Bonnan, will bring the California dream to a whole new generation of fans with fresh stories, rising stars and all the spectacle that makes the Baywatch franchise a global sensation.”

Behind the Scenes

Matt Nix is the showrunner for the series and is executive producing along with McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz.

Fox Entertainment and Fremantle are co-producing the show.

When is the Series Premiere?

No official premiere date has been announced for the Baywatch reboot. However, Fox has hinted that the show is slated for the 2026/2027 TV season.

It will feature 12 episodes in the debut season. The series will most likely stream on Hulu.
