Laura Dave’s bestseller, The Last Thing He Told Me, was transformed into an Apple TV+ show, and now it’s getting a second season.
Based on the sequel novel by Dave, the newest installment is drawing closer with every day. The best part? Jennifer Garner will return to her leading role in season two of The Last Thing He Told Me.
The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2
Based on the second book in the series, titled The First Time I Saw Him, the second season brings back Owen, Hannah, and Bailey. It’s been five years since Owen disappeared, and Hannah and Bailey created a new life for themselves.
However, when Owen shows up out of nowhere, Hannah knows there is trouble brewing, and she must protect Bailey at all costs. Will they be able to outrun the past and find a new life where they all can be together?
The second season will be comprised of eight episodes, and will debut globally with the first episode on February 20th, followed by a weekly episode until the finale on April 10th.
Cast Members – New and Returning
Jennifer Garner is returning as Hannah, along with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Owen Michaels, and Angourie Rice, who plays Bailey Michaels.
Other returning cast members include David Morse, Augusto Aguilera, Josh Hamilton, Nick Hargrove, and Michael Hyatt.
New cast members include Judy Greer, Rita Wilson, Michael Galante, John Noble, and Luke Kirby.
What Was Season 1 About?
Seasoned one followed the mysterious disappearance of Owen Michaels, based on the novel by Dave. Owen leaves behind wife, Hannah, and daughter Bailey. The last thing he gives Hannah is a note that says “Protect her,” referring to Bailey.
As Hannah tries to figure out what happened to Owen and what danger is out there, she bonds with Bailey over newfound revelations.
Things ended on a sour note as Morse’s character struck a deal with Hannah that she would care for Bailey as long as Owen didn’t show his face in their lives again.
