Premiering on Lifetime on August 17th is Dead Girl Summer. The small-town thriller revolves around two recent college graduates who return home only to have childhood trauma resurface as a friend goes missing.

The slow-burning mystery is a weekly show that reconnects characters with their unresolved pasts.

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox is a limited series premiering on Hulu on August 20th. The series dramatizes the legal saga of Amanda Knox and her journey through media scrutiny and legal battles following her conviction and eventual exoneration.

Two episodes will be available on the series’ launch date, and then Hulu will release episodes weekly afterwards. Stars include Grace Van Patten, Sharon Horgan, and John Hoogenakker.

Hostage

Dive into a political thriller on Netflix with Hostage on August 21st. The series stars Suranne Jones, centering on the British prime minister and the French president, who start as rivals, but after a kidnapping and a blackmail threaten a fragile peace, the two form a cooperative bond.

Peacemaker Season 2
