SuperKitties
SuperKitties is back on Disney+. The streaming service is adding new episodes of the animated superhero musical on Wednesday, December 17th. It will continue the adventures of Ginny, Sparks, Buddy, and Bitsy as they answer “SuperKitty Calls” from friends in need in Kittydale.
According to the Disney press release, episodes are being formatted into two 11-minute stories that center around kindness, empathy, and teamwork. They are the perfect family show for younger viewers.
The show’s ongoing popularity has translated into Disney’s decision to continue the franchise, as SuperKitties has been renewed for a fourth season. The newest season will carry on the SuperKitties’ mission of community-minded heroics and expand the world beyond the current roster of comedic villains and episodic rescues currently available on Disney+.
The show is rated for children two to seven and their families.
Discovered by Disaster
Disney+ will also dip into the documentary world with Discovered by Disaster, premiering on Friday, December 19th. The documentary-style series will dive into catastrophic events and the human stories that follow.
It’s meant to highlight the resilience and survival people must endure in the face of extreme natural forces, while still providing an educational avenue with firsthand accounts.
For those who love weather or natural disasters, this show will be perfect to stream.
Supernatural
As for Peacock, its newest arrivals are accentuated by the long-running drama Supernatural. The series will land on the platform on Monday, December 22nd, providing subscribers with the full saga of Sam and Dean Winchester as they attempt to hunt demons, ghosts, and otherworldly threats across fifteen exciting seasons.
The series adds some mythology to the service while also providing a binge-viewing experience for beloved fans and viewers alike.
The Copenhagen Test
Rounding out the holiday schedule on Peacock is The Copenhagen Test, premiering on Saturday, December 27th. The series stars Simu Liu and centers around a tense, character-driven mystery with high stakes and complex dynamics.
The casting of Simu Liu is the main draw of the event, and should be an entertaining watch.
Adding all of these premieres together, it goes to show how streamers like Disney+ and Peacock balance family entertainment, factual drama, and exciting thrillers to please every viewer during the holiday season.
