When the show begins, a single mom moves to a new town with her two kids, Ginny and Austin. Ginny never really had real friends because they tended to move a lot. Georgia tells her kids that Wellsbury is different, and she wants to stay there for a long time. Throughout the season, you will see Georgia’s complicated, secretive past and how she got where she is currently. Alongside her mom, we see Ginny experience life as a typical teenager where she feels like she can’t fit in. Austin struggles with a bully since he is the new kid in town and gets made fun of for the glasses he wears. It focuses on family bonding, drama, and new beginnings.

Ginny discovers some uncomfortable things about her mother in season 2, which make it difficult to cope. Ginny navigates her relationship with Marcus since it could cause tension with his sister. Zion, Ginny’s father, finds out that Ginny self-harms and encourages her to go to therapy. They keep the secret from Georgia until she finds Ginny’s diary. There is a lot to work out in these family dynamics, but no one expects the ending of season 2.

Spoilers Ahead!

Georgia gets married to the mayor of their town, but we wonder if that wedding will stick, given the nature of things. The ending of season 2 left us wondering what would happen after we saw Georgia arrested at her wedding reception. The police read her the Miranda Rights and say she is being charged with the murder of Tom Fuller. This leads us to believe that Tom’s mother had an investigator tracking Georgia and her whereabouts, which led to the arrest.

As a result, season 3 must be Georgia’s trial. Will she be convicted and lose her children, or will she make it so the jury believes she isn’t guilty and gets away with what she has done? Let’s hope for Ginny & Georgia season 3 to see how everything works out. It’s hard to be left on a cliffhanger like this.

Even if we get a renewal, the show will likely not be on Netflix until sometime next year. They will need time to film and edit the whole production. Seasons 1 and 2 had a two-year gap in between because production had stopped due to Covid-19. So, it could arrive quicker this time, but we won’t know until Netflix confirms a Ginny & Georgia season 3.
