After years, Caitlyn Jenner breaks silence on daughter Kylie’s relationship with Timothée Chalamet.
And to everyone’s relief, the I Am Cait alum only had the sweetest reaction when asked about the three-year romance.
“I just want my daughter to be happy,” Caitlyn told reporters while flying out of Los Angeles International Airport in a video. “And she is, and I like that.”
The 76-year-old confirmed that she’d met her daughter’s longtime love, calling the Marty Supreme actor a “great kid” and a “phenomenal actor.”
“And he’s very good to Kylie,” Caitlyn noted. “Even more important.”
The former Olympian, 76, who came out as transgender in 2015, shares Kylie, 28, and Kendall Jenner, 30, with ex-wife Kris Jenner, who filed for divorce in September 2014 after 20 years of marriage.
Caitlyn Jenner has opened up about her relationship with her kids in the past, explaining in an interview in 2021 that she has more in common with Kendall, but she’s felt closer to Kylie.
“I get along very well with the two of them, but Kylie and I just seem to be closer most of the time,” the Keeping with the Kardashians alum said honestly. “Kendall’s off kind of doing her thing, and Kylie, I had dinner last night at Kylie’s house. We try to do that once a week, once every two weeks.”
She added that Kendall is “a little bit more secretive,” while Kylie is more of an “open book.”
Thankfully, with such a close relationship, it’s good to see that Timothée Chalamet received Caitlyn’s stamp of approval. The two have been romantic since 2023 after meeting at Paris Fashion Week that year. While they kept their relationship private, they did attend events together and even made their red carpet debut in 2025.
Most recently, on January 4, during the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards, Chalamet included a rare, emotional comment when accepting the win for Best Actor for Marty Supreme, saying, “Lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.”
The camera focused on Kylie, who could be seen mouthing “I love you, too.”
