Ralph Breaks the Internet is among the many family-friendly movies that will migrate over to Disney+, the new streaming service that launches November 12. Fans of the film can still see it on Netflix until its December 11th, 2020 release date on Disney+.

That date marks the end of Netflix’s exclusive rights deal with Disney, who’ll be taking many of their own titles to the fresh platform. Meanwhile, many of Disney’s more adult titles will head to Hulu.

As for this flick in particular, Ralph Breaks the Internet is the sequel to 2010’s highly successful Wreck-It Ralph. Co-starring John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, the franchise has made over $1 billion at the global box office.

From the arcade to the Internet

Here’s an official synopsis for Ralph Breaks the Internet:

Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a part to save her game, Sugar Rush. They’re in way over their heads, so they must rely on the citizens of the Internet—including Yesss, the head algorithm and heart and soul of the trend-making site BuzzzTube, and Shank, a tough-as-nails driver from the gritty online auto-racing game, Slaughter Race—to help them navigate their way.

Disney

The first movie began in a throwback arcade. In keeping with the times, the filmmakers raised the stakes and set this sequel on a grander scale.

Not that there wasn’t a ton of imagination that went into Wreck-It Ralph. Often, the constraints brought on by a contained world foster great creativity. However, Disney has many characters as its disposal and can deploy anyone it wants into this animated universe.

This luxury helped widen the scope of this film in terms of story. Many favorite Disney characters make cameos. We’ll not reveal them here, though, because Ralph Breaks the Internet is definitely a sequel worth seeing without spoilers!

4K/HDR/Dolby Atmos

The Mouse House is bringing out all the bells, whistles and stunning visuals, which means Ralph Breaks the Internet will be presented on Disney+ in 4K, HDR, and Dolby Atmos.

You won’t have to pay extra for higher quality, either. The $6.99 monthly price tag of Disney+ will offer the best possible presentation of the film in terms of video and audio quality.
