The story follows Harvard lawyer Lucy Kelson who is following the footsteps of her parents and uses her career for social activism. George Wade is a suave public face of the Manhattan-based Wade Corporation and is often opposed by Lucy. When George is in need of a lawyer, he offers Lucy the job as his legal counsel on a chance meeting.
Against her parents’ warnings, she decides to take the job on a promise that he won’t demolish a community center and ensures that she won’t succumb to his charms as he’s known for being a lady’s man. And like most romantic comedies, sparks tend to fly when they start working closer to one another.
