Scream 6 returning to the screen looks pretty high after this last movie, including all the legacy characters and the Ghostface killer survivors that returned. The movie is exciting if you are into horror and mystery movies.

Let’s recap who made it back in scream 6, including the legacy characters. In Scream 6, you will see Tara and Sam Carpenter return and the twins Mindy and Chad. At the end of Scream, you see them all being batched up by the ambulance from who the current Ghostface was.
You will want to look out for legacy characters in this new movie: Gail Weathers, Kirby Reed, and Billy Loomis. You might remember seeing Gail Weathers and Billy Loomis in Scream 5. Yes, Billy is dead, but he happens to show up now and then when his daughter Sam is going through something stressful and has to do with Ghostface, given he was Ghostface in the first Scream. He appears in Scream 6 when Sam is going through conflicted emotions. You don’t see him often. Maybe two or three times, he briefly appears to tell his daughter to start taking after him with killings.
Now you see Gail Weathers a lot more because the show is based in New York City, where she works. She was the reporter in the first scream movie based in Woodsboro, California. Each scream movie is located in Woodsboro, California, until Scream 6, where they took the movie to New York, a different state because it is following Tara and Sam, and they had said at the end of Scream 5 they were getting out of Woodsboro completely and never to return. Gail is a high-class reporter and author who wrote a book about the murders, giving people a deeper look into Woodsboro.
The last movie of Scream was in 2000. After that, the next scream movie didn’t come out until eleven years later, in 2011. Even with that big gap, the legacy characters still returned to fight off whoever the new Ghostface was.
There are usually two Ghostface killers, except there was one Scream there was only one. Let’s go over the killers from each movie.

The question is, how many Ghostface will be in Scream 6? Will it be one or two? Guess you will have to watch to find out.

The legacy character fans were looking forward to, as well as others, was Kirby Reed. She is in Scream 4 she gets stabbed by Charlie, one of the Ghostfaces in this movie. Now we don’t see her technically die, just that she got stabbed, which is how she was able to return in Scream 6. The writers left room for her to return if they ever were going to create another Scream movie. Even after Scream 4, they didn’t return with another Scream 5 for eleven years. Luckily, they didn’t make us wait that long for Scream 6. We got it a year later after Scream 5, and it does not disappoint.
Kirby Reed comes back as an FBI agent who mainly handles many Ghostface cases. She returns to the movie in New York City when she hears about a killing and the police are holding two suspects, Sam and Tara, since Ghostface is also connected to them.
Unfortunately, Sidney does not return to this movie. She took her family somewhere safe and had to protect her children and husband from ever getting hurt by a Ghostface killer. Which is understandable, and she made her fair share of showing up in Scream 5.
Overall, the movie does a great job returning the legacy characters from the older movies and Scream 5. There is talk about the older characters, but they do not appear in the film. We don’t want to give away too much about the movie but pay close attention when watching. You might see items that were in the other film make an appearance in this movie.
